Have you had a Sugar Cookie today?

"Sugarcookie," my Winter/Christmas Kit came out while I was away! How fun! Check it, and all of the fun add on kits (cardstock, felt paper, crystal frames, ric rac, holiday word art, candy cane monogram) at pcLayers. Be sure not to miss all the cool things in the gallery that have been made with it. There's some fabulous layouts from the design team at pcLayers, as well as some from talented customers in the slideshow above. I'm amazed and impressed, as always, at all the things people are making with this kit! I wanted to make a christmas-y kit that would also work well for "winter" and I felt like adding yellow to the color scheme just to make it fresh and different.

And more big news! They've started selling individual papers on the site as well! I love this option.

My personal favorite add on kit is the tags. There are 34 different tags arrange on two 8.5 x 11 files, conveniently laid out in three columns for easier cutting. It also comes with a whole bunch of ribbons and brushes too! Pretty much I just included everything I'd want if I was making gift tags (which I will be soon!). Be sure to stop by Rachel's digital scrapbooking blog for some great ideas for using the tags! Kayla's digital scrapping blog has some more great ideas and fantastic tutorials too!

I decided to make a desktop freebie for Dec for this week's freebie. It's a .png file so that you can slip your own holiday photos in the two spaces provided (they're blue in the preview; I can't find my holiday photos!). Enjoy!

Another Gorgeous Thanksgiving

We were fortunate enough to be invited for yet another absolutely gorgeous, not to mention delicious, Thanksgiving with the Robertson/Malan families. Nanette did a fabulous job of decorating; our tables were prettier than if Martha had come and done them herself. I had to snap a few shots before everyone arrived, and probably should have snapped a few more once everyone had sat down to eat, but since we've been out of town and haven't been grocery shopping since we got home, I was more interested in dinner once it was served. After dinner we played "Apples to Apples." Our good friends Tim and Carly introduced it to us a while back, and it's always a fun group game. I did manage to snag one person shot of cute Miss Nessa before being tempted away to the buffet line. This year, as always, I'm most thankful for my family; both my wonderful inlaws and their extended family, and also for the family that I've was lucky enough to be born into.

Free Accents

I love these! So fun. Buttons are my new favorite thing. And it doesn't get much better than free buttons. This freebie is to coordinate with my digital scrapbook designing friend Deena's new release (tomorrow's the big day!) at pcLayers. The kit is called "Tiny Dancer." BUT wait! There's more than just one great freebie! There's a whole bunch from other talented designers! It's a scavenger hunt, and you just got invited! So from here, make sure you go to Bren's blog, and pick up her absolutely amazing freebie (guarantee you won't be disappointed!), and then on to the next link and so on. Have fun! Oh, and no freebie from me next week; I'll be away in Venice, Greece, Turkey and Croatia on my dream vacation, thanks to my cute husband. :)

Here's a cheat sheet in case you need it for the scavenger hunt; I heard there may be someone with technical difficulties:
